Issue Position: Countywide Police Service Plan

I am against this Countywide Plan and the irresponsible way the Freeholder's are trying to rush it into service. Yet I would be in favor of a refined Countywide Plan in the future. Anything worth doing is worth doing right and I do not believe Louis Cappelli's plan is well thought out, efficient, respectful of service or cost effective.

As for the Governor -- we agree on most of the issues. We both believe in smaller government, reduced spending, lower taxes and greater economic prosperity. On some issues we may disagree but disagreement is good. Representatives are sent to Trenton to bring new ideas to the table and hash out differences for the mutual benefit of all of New Jersey's citizens.

I also think that ideological dissent demonstrates the character of Camden County Republicans. We do not have political bosses here, only quality citizen leadership. Our Committee Chairman, Tom Booth, is an excellent leader because he offers us his counsel and advice without forcing it upon us. We are all free to be the people that we are and respectfully express our own beliefs and opinions. I wonder how many South Jersey Democrats secretly wish they had that same freedom.
